My work
In this page you can see some of the product design projects I have worked on in team and individually as well as other work related to the creative industry.
OncoNavigator 01
OncoNavigator. Final master’s project that was part of a scholarship program as well. My role as the designer was to develop a medical instrument for breast cancer diagnostics and intervention.
Below can be seen an animation showcasing how the final product functions
We-E 02
We-E. A group project made for Michelin Movin’On competition. The concept of this electric transportation is that it can be used in multitude of ways and be a safer alternative to current available electric transportation that is commonly used.
Pop-Up Stop 03
Pop-up Stop. A modular portable bus stop created for a competition in Portugal. This bus stop can be longer or shorter, depending on the need as well evolve together with the ever-changing urban environment. The screens can be interactive, assisting the users, notifying the bus driver or be shut off to reduce screen pollution.
Aphrodite 04
Aphrodite. My company was approached by a city council to participate in career day in rural area to teach children about further education. To promote creative fields fused together with technology we chose to show how 3d printing, scanning and rendering works. Photogrammetry was used to scan in the exciting model, then we placed the scanned model in few environments and changed the textures to show how CGI works. Finally, we printed the model out with a little alteration to lighten up the mood of the presentation – Mickey Mouse ears were well received.
Bike Lock 05
Bike Lock. I was inspired by the concept of bank dye packs in money bags to mark the bills. I proceeded with a less durable bike lock mechanism that can be more lightweight and compact. However, the dye pack inside would counter the safety aspect. The lock works by fingerprint scanner to lock and unlock.
Screw-In Chair 06
Screw-In Chair. Combination of the best traits of stationary and portable garden furniture. The idea was that the chair can be screwed in to become static. The chairs can also be installed temporarily for public events. When not in need, they can be stored, leaving the bases in spot intact for easy re-installation and moving the grass is less effort. The base concept stays the same but the design itself can have various versions.
3d visualisation 07
3d visualisation. For several years I worked for a CGI company. My role was the creation of photo-realistic 3d models and textures of products – such as furniture, home appliances, architecture and landscape architecture, using different 3d modelling techniques as well working on all post-production of visuals. The following visuals were a team work in which I participated in various different roles.
3d modeling 08
3d modeling. During my studies and work I often chose interesting 3d modelling exercises. In this section it will displayed some of the more
interesting 3d models made in 3ds Max or SOLIDWORKS.
3d printing 09
3d printing. Additive manufacturing has shaped my design process and now I cannot imagine rapid prototyping without using a 3d printer. In this section it will showcase some of the projects that involve the 3d printing process.
